Answers About Our Home Care Franchise

Buying into a franchise, any franchise, is a big decision. It’s important that you fully explore the opportunity before making any decisions. Making sure a company is a good fit for you – and that you’re a good fit for them – is key to finding future success. At Griswold Home Care, we want to make sure you have as much information as possible before making any decisions.

Below you will find answers to some of the most common questions prospective franchisees have.

What is Griswold Home Care?

Griswold Home Care is the first non-medical home care franchise in the United States. Founded by Jean Griswold after realizing the lack of care and resources available to low-income seniors and adults with disabilities, we have grown into one of the most storied and successful franchise systems in the country. Jean’s legacy of empathy and compassion is at the heart of who we are today. Our franchise owners are among the longest-tenured and highest-performing in the $89 billion home care industry. The American Association of Franchisees and Dealers named Griswold Home Care the Franchisor of the Year in both 2017 and 2019.

Will you help me secure financing?

We work with several third-party financial institutions that may be able to assist you with your financing needs.

What experience is required?

No specific industry experience is necessary to become a franchisee! However, we do want all candidates to demonstrate a proven track record of leadership experience, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, have the ability to manage people while building a Griswold culture, and the willingness to follow our proven business model.

I’ve never owned my own business. Do you offer training and support?

There’s a good reason why Griswold Home Care is a leader in our industry. Our team works tirelessly to make sure our franchisees succeed from the moment they sign the franchise agreement. We offer extensive training and support to help you launch your business, including two weeks of owner training, field support for your grand opening, and ongoing training and support for you and your staff. We also offer tips for hiring the best employees, how to make more sales, and how to build a strong referral base of customers. You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself!

We only require that you have an office. The rest is up to you. We are always here to answer any questions you have on this matter and to provide some advice about what area may be best for your business.

This will fully depend on the number of clients you are helping. To start, you will only need a few caregivers and either a full-time Marketer or Care Coordinator to help you get your business rolling. As you get going, you will then need to hire accordingly. Our team can help you hire the best caregivers during your training session. We’ll also help you scale your business in a smart way that will enable you to hire more employees and take on more jobs.

Why is Griswold Home Care a great fit for veterans?

Being successful with our home care franchise requires someone who has a proven ability to follow procedures, systems, and processes. We believe veterans are uniquely qualified in this way. They also generally possess the desire to help others and make a difference in their communities. All of these qualities are at the heart of who we are. With a proven business model and extensive training and support, we are a great fit for honorably discharged veterans who are looking to open their own business. They are also eligible to receive a 20% discount off their first franchise free.
